Last year I introduced the feature Lula Belle Meets.  This has been a huge success and I have a number of interesting independents that I am already talking to for this year.  But I wanted to introduce a new feature for 2013 and started thinking about this back in the Autumn.  There seemed to be an obvious choice for two reasons.  One my love of the English countryside. Two the name of my blog.  This year I am going to seek to visit as many counties in England as I can.  There are 83 but I know I won’t get through them all this year.

Broadway - Cotswolds

I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit to Kent last year and explored as much as I could. I’ve always enjoyed spending time in the Cotswolds and often visit Broadway or Stow-on-the-Wold.

Oaste houses, Kent

This year I would like to visit counties that are new to me or I haven’t visited for a very long time, as well as exploring parts of my favourite counties of Warwickshire, Gloucestershire and Kent.  I already have Derbyshire scheduled for March, plus a visit to new parts of the Cotswolds in April.

Some of the counties that have started to appear on my list are Worcestershire, Shropshire, Cheshire, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire, Hampshire, Cambridgeshire and Somerset.

I hope you’ll enjoy reading about my travels across England.  If there are any special places that you think I should visit I’d love to know.  Also if you have favourite independent businesses then I’d like to hear about these too.

Exploring England…….discovering something new!
