Here we are about to start the second month of the year. I don’t know about you, but for me, January has flown by, although busy I have been able to retain a fairly good balance between work and life. My priorities for 2016 are at the core of my well being and I still feel focused on these. But I’m looking forward to a new month full of possibilities and where I’m looking to do one thing this month in my home town which I have not done before.
If You Do One Thing This Month….Try Something New in Your Home Town
How many of you can honestly put you hand up and say you have taken part or visited all of your home town offerings? I know my hand isn’t going up. For me, it’s partly down to making time as well as not always knowing about events. What’s your reason? Whether you live in a small town or big city each and every place has something to offer. If you live in the countryside, then look to see what local events there are or explore more of your surroundings.
This month I challenge you to do one thing in your home town that you’ve always meant to do or seek out events and attend one. Need a little inspiration? You could:
- visit a museum
- explore historic areas
- take part in a one off class
- attend a talk/ or lecture
- discover parks/ or gardens
- take photos and capture the town at dawn or dusk
- seek out independent boutiques/ coffee shops
- take part in an organised event
- visit the local farmers market
I’ve got a couple of ideas about what I’ll be doing in this month. As you complete the challenge it’d be great to hear about this through sharing on my Facebook page or Twitter using #onethingthismonth. I’m really looking forward to seeing all the fun things you get up to this month.
