This week sees the blog celebrating its 3rd birthday – that’s three fantastic years of blogging.

It’s been another fabulous year where the blog has gone from strength to strength.  To get it to where it is today has meant a lot of effort and hard work but I’ve also had lots of fun along the way.  This all paid off when I was Highly Commended by the Birmingham Press Club in their Midlands Media Awards 2014.  This is a recognition that I am extremely proud of.

Earlier this year I launched the re-branded blog which I’m still in love with as I feel it now fully reflects how the brand has grown.  As well as finding new places and having exciting experiences, I’ve also had the opportunity to work and partner with some wonderful brands which have brought with them enjoyable experiences.  This year I introduced a new feature My Weekly Finds, which I hope you enjoy reading,  and I’ve also been writing more life insight pieces.

Of course the blog wouldn’t be where it is today without you, my readers, and I hope that you’ll stay reading as long as you continue to enjoy hearing about my adventures.  I love hearing from you whether through comments on the blog or via Twitter and Facebook.  This year, as with previous years, I have met some lovely people and made new friends through blogging.  It’s great to be able to talk and share ideas as well as learn from each other.

Here are a few of my favourite moments from the past year:

Exploring the Jewellery Quarter for Visit Brimingham

Being a model for a day

My first visit to the Lake District

Cornwall revisited

Designed to be Individual

A weekend break in Ireland

A random act of kindness

A novel cure

The Perfect Life – creating the life you want

I’m already looking forward to seeing what the next year will hold.  As part of my role as a BBC Good Food Show blogger I’ll be visiting the winter show to seek out new independent producers.  I’ll also be continuing to write for the award winning Dine Birmingham blog.  Plus there will be lots of exploring and new experiences as well as making exciting discoveries.
