For 100 days I took pleasure in the small things that bring a smile and satisfying comfort to everyday life.  I embarked on the 100 Happy Day Challenge full of optimism and enthusiasm, content in the knowledge that I would easily achieve the goal.  On the whole I did.  It wasn’t hard to find the small things in my day that put a smile on my face.  The toughest part of the challenge came towards the end when I was facing a big life change that meant for a handful of days not even the smallest thing made me happy.  During this time it was inspiring quotes that summed up how I was feeling. Through my 100 Happy Day Challenge there are particular themes that I can see which make me happy:

Cup of Coffee

Enjoying a cup of coffee

Chicken and Prawn Paella

Experiencing new food discoveries

Broadway in the Cotswolds

Exploring new places as well as enjoying favourites

Lapstone in the Cotswolds

Spending time with family and friends

Glamour in the County

Personal achievements

The 100 Happy Day Challenge has taught me to take pleasure in the small things that make up our days.  On days when life is tough don’t be tough on yourself and don’t try to force happiness.  Life will unwind and those small pleasures will return.

What would your 100 happy days look like?

Here are a few of the inspirational quotes:

If life can remove someone you never dreamed of losing, it can replace them with someone you never dreamt of having

Love your parents. We are so busy growing up, we often forget they are also growing old

Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory

Now and then it is good to pause in our pursuit of happiness and just be happy

Friendship isn’t about whom you’ve known the longest, it’s about who came and never left your side
