The prefect location for a Christmas Fayre?

This weekend I visited Hampton Manor's Christmas Fayre and what a fabulous venue it was for all things festive.

I've only recently become aware of Hampton Manor.  I'm still not really sure how I didn't know about this chic 19th century manor house until a few months ago.  Situated in Hampton in Arden, just minutes from the NEC, it's a location that is very familiar to me.  So when I heard they were hosting a Christmas Fayre I took the opportunity to make my first visit.

Driving up to the manor house you get amazing views over the countryside and on such a lovely sunny day in was just perfect.  The architecture is stunning and it certainly gives you a taste of what is to come.

For me accessories finish an outfit, whether it's a scarf, necklace, bracelet, cuff or a fabulous cocktail ring.  With this in mind I am always looking for something unique.  This might be a statement piece or something more elegant.  So when I saw this beautiful choker necklace I was smitten at first glance.

Afternoon Tea at The Dorchester

Would afternoon tea everyday be too indulgent?

This is not the first time that I have indulged in afternoon tea at one of the top London hotels, but it is the first time that I had taken Afternoon Tea at The Dorchester.

I know there doesn't have to be a reason for ladies to partake in afternoon tea, however on this occassion the reason happened to be my forthcoming birthday.  So for my birthday celebrations I took the opportunity to get together my 'sex and the city' girls and female relatives, including SBA and LBA, to celebrate in lady like style.

I was delighted to be invited to the Hatton & Harding 1st birthday celebrations.  

In the current economic climate it is so great to see such a fabulous independent store thriving, it's quite literally going from strength to strength.  It's not just the good people of Warwick that have fallen in love with this exquisite store, word is spreading across the UK.

Have you defined your personal style?

Over the years I've refined my style and like a fine wine I've got better with age.  I'd say at the core is a classic style that 80% of the time I am true too, but for the other 20% I wear whatever suits my mood at the time, which could be classed as either sporty or romantic.  I've decided now is the time to finally define my style.  With this in mind I turned to Emily Jayne for help.

I had met Emily Jayne earlier this year and had a mini style 'session' with her at Corina Corina in Warwick.  With the knowledge that I already knew what my body shape (more of that later) and that I wanted to define my style, I booked a style consultation*.

Armed with my selection of clothes that I had been asked me to bring along, I arrived to be greeted warmly by a waiting Emily Jayne.

Once settled in the lovely light studio I told Emily Jayne my objectives for the session and why I was there.  I mentioned my ideal was to attain a more Manhattan Chic style.  This would turn out to be a very interesting comment.
